Product Introduction

ASTM A53 Grade A Pipe is a common carbon steel pipe for low-pressure general service, including seamless, ERW and furnace-butt welded types. It features excellent ductility and formability, widely used in general industrial and civilian low-pressure piping systems.

ASTM A53 Grade A ERW pipes adopt electric resistance welding, with a standard diameter range of 1/8 to 26 inches. Compared with Grade B, Grade A has lower pressure resistance but better flexibility and formability. It is suitable for water supply, low-pressure gas and wastewater systems. Our seamless A53 Grade A pipes feature high precision, fitting narrow-space installation, while ERW pipes have stable weld performance for secondary welding projects. We accept customer inquiries and custom orders.

1.Main Application Fields
Fluid Transmission: Low-pressure gas delivery, water treatment, cooling water circulation, non-corrosive liquid transmission
Construction and Structure: Building piping, underground water pipelines, structural support piping, boiler auxiliary water transmission

2.Manufacturing Process Standard
ASTM A53 Grade A seamless and welded pipes are produced via open hearth, electric furnace or basic oxygen furnace processes.
Different steel grades are independently strand cast. Production transition materials must be completely removed to ensure stable pipe material properties.
ERW pipe weld seams require post-weld heat treatment at a minimum of 540℃ (1000℉) to eliminate untempered martensite and ensure weld stability and toughness.
Cold-expanded pipes shall have a maximum expansion of 1 1/2% of the pipe diameter to guarantee structural integrity.
