Tempering Instruction
The notch toughness of A537 Class 1 steel can be improved by quenched cooling from hot rolling or normalizing process. If faster cooling rate is confirmed by both purchaser and supplier, the steel shall be tempered at 1200°F to stabilize internal structure and mechanical properties.
