High-performance SSAB Q&T wear-resistant steel plate — engineered for extreme abrasive wear, strong impact and heavy load conditions.
Hardox 500 is a high-performance quenched and tempered wear-resistant steel plate manufactured by SSAB, supplied in hot rolled, quenched & tempered (Q&T) condition. It features ultra-high hardness and superior abrasion resistance, upgraded from Hardox 400 and Hardox 450 grades, while retaining good toughness and workability.
With a standard hardness of 500 HBW, it delivers 5 to 7 times longer service life than ordinary carbon steel. It performs excellently under extreme abrasive wear, strong impact and heavy load conditions, and remains workable for bending, welding and cutting processing.
