Plate Cut Plate GB/T 3077 15CrMo

GB/T 3077 15CrMo is a common Chinese low-alloy chromium-molybdenum heat-resistant steel featuring excellent high-temperature oxidation resistance, hydrogen corrosion resistance and thermal creep stability, suitable for long-term service under high-temperature and high-pressure working conditions up to 540°C.

Due to its alloy composition, 15CrMo has an obvious hardening tendency and poor weldability. Preheating and post-weld stress relief heat treatment are required during processing to prevent cracking, while it still provides more stable high-temperature strength than ordinary carbon steel plates.

15CrMo welding & processing note: 15CrMo is a low-carbon Cr-Mo heat-resistant steel. Its alloy composition gives an obvious hardening tendency and poor weldability; preheating before welding and post-weld stress relief heat treatment are required to prevent cracking. Compared with higher-carbon chromium-molybdenum grades, it is optimized for welded high-temperature pressure components where long-term high-temperature stability and hydrogen-resistance matter more than peak room-temperature strength.
