API 5L PSL2 X80 line pipe is the highest-grade high-strength pipeline steel in the standard API 5L "X" series, specially designed for long-distance, high-pressure, large-diameter gas, water, and oil transmission in the petroleum and natural gas industry. Covered in API 5L specification grades including A25, A, B, X42, X46, X52, X56, X60, X65, X70 and X80. The two-digit number following the "X" indicates the Minimum Yield Strength (in 000’s psi) of pipe produced to this grade. The minimum yield strength of API 5L PSL2 X80 pipes is 80000 psi.
