EH36 ASTM A131 MARINE STRUCTURAL STEEL Thickness 4-200 mm

ASTM A131 EH36 is a premium high-strength low-temperature resistant marine structural steel grade under the ASTM A131 / A131M international standard. Compared with conventional AH32 and AH36 ship steel, EH36 features higher yield strength and outstanding ultra-low temperature toughness, with mandatory −40°C Charpy V-notch impact test performance. It is specially developed for extreme marine environments including frigid ocean waters, ice impact and severe weather conditions.

Manufactured via hot rolling and standardized heat treatment processes including normalizing, quenching and tempering, EH36 shipbuilding steel delivers stable structural strength, excellent weldability and reliable impact resistance. It effectively resists ice piece impact and low-temperature brittle fracture in harsh marine service, greatly improving the structural safety and long-term service life of polar and cold-region marine engineering equipment.
