Ramor 400 is a popular medium-hardness protection steel manufactured by SSAB. Supplied in quenched condition with no extra heat treatment required, it provides both ballistic defense and explosion impact resistance. Compared with Ramor 500+ high-hardness grades, Ramor 400 offers much better weldability, bending and cutting performance, making it the most process-friendly armor steel in the Ramor series for medium-level protection projects.

Processing & Usage Notes
1. No re-heat treatment: Ramor 400 is fully quenched. Heating over 180°C will degrade protection performance.
2. Good weldability: Better than Ramor 500/550/600. Use low-hydrogen welding materials and proper preheating.
3. Safety reminder: Cutting and grinding produce fine steel dust, full protection required.
4. Official certification: EN 10204 3.1/3.2 MTC and ballistic test reports available.
