API 5L PSL2 X52 (also named L360) is a premium-grade carbon steel line pipe specially engineered for oil, gas and water transmission pipeline systems. As a core grade in the API 5L specification series (including A25, A, B, X42, X46, X52, X60, X65, X70 and X80), X52 features a minimum yield strength of 52 Ksi (360 MPa), delivering stable pressure resistance and structural durability for long-distance pipeline projects.

Compared with PSL1 grade, API 5L PSL2 X52 implements stricter chemical composition control, impact test requirements and non-destructive testing standards, making it suitable for high-standard, high-safety petroleum and natural gas transmission scenarios. Acceptable delivery conditions for API 5L PSL2 line pipes (designated by suffix letter):

  • R — As-rolled, normalizing rolled or normalized formed
  • N — Normalized, or normalized formed, or normalized and tempered
  • Q — Quenched and tempered
  • M — Thermomechanical rolled, or thermomechanical formed
Note: X52N (L360N) denotes the normalized / normalized formed delivery condition — the data in sections 03 and 04 below apply to X52N. Other delivery conditions are available on request.
